Verify before you enroll

Registration, and what we do not claim

What you can verify about this school without taking our word for it — and an explicit list of the things we will not tell you, because they are not ours to say.

Why this page exists

A badge on a homepage tells you nothing.

Every online school displays seals. What matters is which body issued it, what that body actually assesses, and whether you can look it up. Measured against that standard, one of the two marks this site used to display did not survive. It has been removed rather than defended.

Registered with the Florida Department of Education

School Code 5524

Registration means ARHS meets the requirements Florida sets for private schools operating in the state, and appears in the state's records of registered private schools. You can check this yourself — you do not have to take our word for it.

How to check: open the Florida DOE private schools page below, follow their Directory of Private Schools link, and search for school code 5524. We link to the FDOE page rather than straight to the directory because FDOE moves the directory between hosts, and a link we cannot keep working is worse than one extra click.

What it is not: registration is not accreditation. It records that the school is operating in compliance with state requirements. It is not an academic quality judgement, and it is not an endorsement of the diploma by any employer or college.

Accreditation: we publish no claim

This site does not state that ARHS is accredited, and does not display an accreditation seal.

An earlier version of this page named a private accrediting body and a provider ID. The only source for it was the school's own badge graphic — no certificate, no expiry date and no public register a reader could search. A claim you cannot check is not evidence, so it has been withdrawn rather than dressed up with a caveat.

This is not a statement that the school is unaccredited. It is a statement that we will not publish something we cannot back.

If you are working out how to check any online school — including this one — this covers the checks that actually separate a real school from a diploma mill.

If accreditation matters to your situation — and for college admission or a licensed trade it often does — ask us in writing for current documentation before you enroll, and ask the receiving institution what they require. Ask for documentation.

Terms people confuse

Accredited vs registered school difference

These get used interchangeably and they are not the same thing.

Registered means a state education agency permits the school to operate there. What does Florida registered private school mean? It means the school has met Florida's requirements for operating as a private school and appears in the state's records. It is a compliance status, not an academic quality judgement.

Accredited means an external body has reviewed the school against its own standards. That is a separate process, done by a different organization, and checked in a different place.

A school can hold one, both or neither. ARHS holds the first and publishes no claim to the second.

Based in Florida, or finishing a Florida education? What Florida registration means, and finishing from anywhere in the state.

Florida private school lookup: open the FDOE page linked above, follow their Directory of Private Schools, and search for school code 5524. That is the Florida DOE school code lookup route, and it does not involve taking our word for anything.

Asked directly

Is American Royal High School legit?

It is a fair question to ask of any online school, and the honest answer has three parts rather than one.

The registration is real and checkable. American Royal High School school code 5524 is on file with the Florida Department of Education and verifiable at fldoe.org without contacting us.

The coursework is real. There is no route here that issues a diploma without completing credits. If you are looking for a document without the work, this is the wrong place — and here is why that route fails anyway.

American Royal High School accreditation: we publish no claim. An earlier version of this page named an accreditor and a provider ID whose only source was a graphic we produced ourselves. Held to the standard we ask you to apply to any school, it did not survive, so it was withdrawn rather than defended. If accreditation is required for your goal, weigh that seriously.

On American Royal High School reviews: this site publishes none, and no rating. We hold no consented student stories and will not manufacture either — what we publish instead, and why.

The part most schools skip

What we do not claim.

These are the statements you will find on a lot of online school websites. We are not making them, and here is why.

Common claims about online diplomas, and what is actually true
The usual claim What is actually true
"Accepted by employers" Each employer decides. Most ask only for proof of graduation; some verify the school first. Ask yours before you enroll.
"Accepted by colleges" Admissions offices set their own rules and many require accreditation, which we do not claim. Ask the specific admissions office first.
"Accepted by the military" Each branch has its own education criteria and they change, and they often turn on accreditation. Speak to a recruiter before enrolling.
"State recognized" We say registered with the Florida DOE, School Code 5524, because that is the precise term for what it is.
"Graduate in weeks" We do not know how long yours will take until we have seen your transcript.
Ratings, reviews, graduate counts Not published, because we do not have records and consents to support them.

Partners

Organizations we work with

These are partnerships and associations. None of them accredit ARHS, and none of them are being presented as doing so.

Their logos are not shown. Reproducing another organization's mark implies they have approved the association, and we hold no written confirmation from any of them. The relationships are described in words instead, which is what the record actually supports.

The United Quality Management Institute (UQMI)

Workforce training partner

UQMI runs practical, workforce-oriented training for adult learners. ARHS collaborates with UQMI to give graduates a route into professional education after their diploma.

No working website. The address this school published for them does not resolve, so there is nothing to link to.

American Learning Center (ALC)

Higher-education pathway partner

ALC offers online degree programs for working professionals. It is a pathway partner for graduates who want to continue into higher education — not a parent company or owner of ARHS.

Their website: American Learning Center

Charisma University

Higher-education pathway partner

Charisma University runs online degree programs aimed at students who want a flexible alternative to a traditional campus. Listed here as a continuing-education option, not as an accreditor.

No working website. The address this school published for them does not resolve, so there is nothing to link to.

International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE)

Professional association we follow

ISTE publishes standards and research on digital learning. ARHS follows its guidance to keep the student platform current. This is an association, not a membership, certification or accreditation.

How to check us properly

If you are considering any online school — this one included — these five steps take about twenty minutes and are worth it.

  1. Get the accreditor's name and the school's ID in writing. We publish no accreditation claim, so there is no accreditor name or provider ID of ours to give you — our Florida registration and its school code are above instead. A school that will not give you a straight answer here is answering your question.
  2. Look up the accreditor itself, not the school. Who runs it? What does it assess? Is it recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or CHEA, or is it a private body?
  3. Check state registration separately. Accreditation and state registration are different things and a school can have one without the other.
  4. Ask the organization you actually need this for. The employer, the college admissions office, the recruiter. Give them the accreditor name and ID and ask plainly whether they would accept it. This is the step that matters most and the one people skip.
  5. Ask for the refund policy and the total cost in writing before you pay anything. Ours are on the refund and tuition pages.

Checking a document somebody has handed you

This page is about verifying the school. If you are an employer, a registrar or a recruiter holding a certificate or diploma and you want to know whether that document is ours, there is a separate checker and it needs no account.

Enter the credential number printed on the document. The checker reports only whether the number belongs to a credential this school issued, the name it was issued to, and the year — nothing else about the person.

Numbers issued through the school's previous system do not follow the format the checker reads, so it will say it cannot check them. That is not a statement that the document is false: email admin@americanroyalhighschool.com with the number and the school will confirm it from its records.

Answer five questions and an advisor will tell you which credits are likely to transfer, what is left to finish, and what your tuition would be. No payment details, no obligation.
