Why the tier system exists
The services use education level as a predictor of completing the first term of service. That is the whole reason for the classification — it is a retention measure, not a judgement about intelligence or worth.
Knowing that helps, because it explains why the distinction is applied so consistently and why a recruiter cannot simply waive it. It is built into the criteria they work from.
What to do before you enroll anywhere
This is the section that matters, and it applies to this school as much as to any other.
Find a recruiter for the branch you want. Give them the full name of the school you are considering and the state it is registered in. Ask two questions: how would this credential be classified, and would it meet the requirement for the roles I am interested in.
Ask for the answer in writing, or write down who told you and when. Recruiters change posts and criteria are updated.
Do this before paying anyone. A diploma that does not do the thing you bought it for is an expensive lesson, and it is entirely avoidable with one conversation.
If you are choosing between a diploma and an equivalency
For enlistment specifically, this choice can matter more than it does elsewhere.
Where a branch treats a diploma as Tier 1 and an equivalency as Tier 2, the diploma route may open more roles and more timing options. That is a reason some people finish a diploma even though an equivalency would be faster.
But it is only worth the extra time if the tier difference actually applies to your branch and your intended role. Confirm it first. The full diploma-versus-GED comparison covers the wider trade-off outside enlistment.
What this school does not claim
We do not publish an accreditation claim, and for enlistment that is a material fact rather than a technicality — some criteria turn on it.
ARHS is registered with the Florida Department of Education, School Code 5524, which you can check at fldoe.org without asking us. What that registration means, and what it does not, is set out on the registration page.
Take that page to the recruiter along with the school's name. It is more useful to them than anything we could tell you about acceptance, because it contains the facts they need to make the classification themselves.
